Description
Saltadero de los Muchachos in Cabrera is a waterfall several meters high that flows into a natural pool in the middle of a tropical grove.
The place is very popular with locals who come with family and friends to enjoy a cool and refreshing bath. A wooden staircase leads to the top of the waterfall and the bravest and intrepid can dive into the pool. There is a small car park for around fifteen cars.
Saltadero de los Muchachos is one of the few waterfalls in the province of Maria Trinidad Sanchez. It is one of the main tourist attractions of Cabrera in addition to the beautiful beaches of Maria Trinidad Sanchez. The waterfall is close to the village and the beaches. Many tourists come after the beach to refresh themselves there because the access is easy.
As with all rivers and waterfalls, it is strongly discouraged in rains and floods.

The waterfall is just a few minutes from the center of Cabrera, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.
There is an asphalt road that leads to Saltadero which is easy to access.
