Description
The 27 Charcos de Damajagua site is a unique place for canyoning in the vicinity of Puerto Plata, in the north of the Dominican Republic.
It is a succession of natural pools and waterfalls of different sizes for lovers of nature and thrills. The descent is accompanied by a guide and you must be in good enough physical condition to climb to the starting point (about 45 minutes of walking) and then to descend in canyoning. The excursion must be done with a life jacket, a helmet and you must be equipped with good shoes. Before departure, the experienced guide gives all the necessary instructions to make the excursion in complete safety. It lasts about 2h30 to 3h.

The 27 Charcos are located about ten kilometers from Puerto Plata in Llanos de Pérez, in the municipality of Imbert. The site is easy to find. On site there is a small ranch that receives visitors with a restaurant and a craft shop.
The departure of the excursions is from 8:00 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. The price for the full excursion is RD$ 500 for tourists and RD$ 350 for Dominicans.
