La Caobita Beach - Azua

La Caobita beach a beautiful and wide white sand beach on the Caribbean Sea, less than an hour south of Azua. The water is warm, the sea is calm and shallow as it is protected by a coral reef that blocks the waves. It is perfect for children and people who do not know how to swim well.

The beach is lined with trees that provide shade from the blazing Dominican sun. There are vendors selling typical Dominican food and drinks and who rent chairs and tables.

There is ample parking, the beach is easy to find. Like many beaches in the Dominican Republic, it is very crowded on weekends and holidays, but during the week it is very quiet.

Playa la Caobita is frequented mainly by the inhabitants of the Azua region, few international tourists come to this beach because it is quite far from the main tourist centers.
