Punta Las Salinas - Bani - Dominican Republic
The beach of Punta las Salinas is located south of Bani, in Puerto Hermoso at the edge of the bay of Las Calderas, about an hour from Santo Domingo, in the south of the Dominican Republic.

In Bani take direction Villa Sombrero, Matanzas, Las Calderas, the beach Punta las Salinas is located after the Sand Dunes of Bani. A little before the beach is the Hotel Las Salinas.
It is a gray sand beach, you can swim in the bay and in the Caribbean Sea. The beach is large and uncrowded.
The Bay of Las Calderas is a maritime military base but it does not spoil the landscape too much.
On the way back, instead of passing through Bani, take the road to Palmar de Ocoa, a few kilometers on the left coming back from Las Salinas. This road runs along the bay of Ocoa and offers magnificent views of the bay. After Palmar de Ocoa there are many luxury villas along the coast belonging to the Dominican bourgeoisie and some small hotels (Hotel Ibiza).

Very nice place, picturesque and easily accessible, the only negative is the lack of indication of whether the Salinas beach is little or very dangerous.
