Cotui is an agricultural town located in the center of the Dominican Republic, about 100 kilometers north of the capital Santo Domingo and about 30 south of San Francisco de Macaris.
The city is not geared towards tourism, there are only a few small hotels and cabanas in Cotui.
The main attractions are the Hatillo dam, the caves of Las Guácaras Tainas, the carnival and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
