The hotel La Agua Azul is located in Santa Cruz de Mao, province of Valverde, in the north of the Dominican Republic.

The hotel has a large pool for adults and for children and also a playground for children with slides, trampolines, pool games.

The hotel has a modern disco and a la carte restaurant. La Hora Azul can organize all kinds of events (birthdays, weddings...) with a capacity of 1500 people.

It is not a place that is frequented by foreign tourists but they are welcome. The establishment is famous and well known to the people of Mao and the surrounding area who like to come with family or friends.

Mao is located northwest of the Dominican Republic, about 35 miles (56 kms) from Santiago de los Caballeros. It's a farming town, mainly rice and bananas which are then exported to foreigners by the port of Manzanillo (Pepillo Salsedo).

Propaganda is misleading because when I went there, the disco was closed, and the beds are uncomfortable because the mattress are old, the restaurant? What restaurant? There is only a pool and bar.

If it is a dream to be in this hotel for me, it was magical, pool, and the best around at night in the city.
