The hotel El Silencio is located in the center of Moca (Espaillat province) close to restaurants, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies, colmados, shops... of the city.

It is a small hotel that offers cheap rooms but with the minimum to spend one or two nights in Moca. The hotel is suitable for business travelers and tourists visiting this part of the Dominican Republic.

The province has access to the sea to the north with the village of Gaspar Hernandez which is about 37 miles (60 kms). The city of Moca is not touristy, the offer is essentially along the Atlantic coast.

The city is nearby however has good potential for mountain tourism and ecological tourism with rivers (The Gloria), waterfalls (Arroyo Blando, Arroyo Grande, Salto La Yautia) and beautiful hikes to do.
