Palmar de Ocoa - Dominican Republic

Palmar de Ocoa is a small village on the edge of the bay of Ocoa on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. The village is at the limit of the provinces of Azua and Péravia, it belongs to the province of Azua. The capital Santo Domingo is less than 100 kilometers away.

It is a small, quiet village whose main attraction is the beach, the sea and the proximity to Santo Domingo. In Palmar de Ocoa there are very beautiful villas which belong to rich notables who come on weekends to enjoy the tranquility of the place.

Although there is no tourism development in the province of Azua, there are some balnearios and beaches such as Monte Rio, Playa Chiquita and Palmar de Ocoa.
